I was lucky enough to be mentored by Laura during my time as a student nurse and saw first hand Laura's enthusiasm for delivering safe, effective and compassionate patient care within an Emergency setting. Laura is extremely knowledgeable in the field and was able to discuss diagnosis, treatment and investigations with both colleagues and patients in a way that was tailored to their level of medical understanding. As a mentor Laura was approachable and supportive and ensured that I felt comfortable in asking questions, providing care and assisted me in working to meet my own goals in a timely manner whilst working in a busy emergency setting. I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Laura and learning from her, she is an asset to emergency medicine!
